And so it begins… build character and stamina this school year

September is very much like a circle; the end of one thing and the beginning of another, seamlessly flowing from one to the other. For kids everywhere the end of summer means the beginning of a new school year, but for most that doesn’t just mean academics. Building a great school year, full of activities and friends is just as important as getting top grades – and after school activities abound…

Excerpt taken from the Back to School edition of The Harrison Report ~

“Specializing in children’s classes, they start young at City Center Dance and keep going right through high school! Classes include creative movement (3-4 year olds), ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, pointe, and boys break dancing. We offer workshops, master classes, performance opportunities, and you can even have your birthday party with us!

The dedication of Artistic Director, Dina Giordano has led to some amazing opportunities. Students frequently perform at Radio City Music Hall, Lincoln Center, and Madison Square Garden. They have appeared in Dance Spirit Magazine, been featured on the Rachael Ray show, and won two scholarship awards at Broadway Dance Center’s AIM Invitational this spring. Some have also established successful careers dancing for NBA dance teams, Walt Disney and in feature films – including this summer’s ‘Step Up 3-D’!”
